You know the song by Passenger that goes,

"You only need the light when it's burning low

Only miss the sun when it starts to snow..."

​

Well, I didn't realize the depth of those words until watching my mother take her last breath. 

 

And when a youth is left without parents, life quickly becomes different.

​

Fortunately, I became a legally emancipated minor, and did not enter the foster care system. But many orphaned children today remain in a neglected system and never gain access to their unique path of success.

 

Storge Foundation was established to provide opportunities and individual sponsorships for foster youth as they transition into adulthood. 

​

Because sometimes, it only takes one helping hand to change a future.

​

The Greek word, Storge, meaning "parental love," reflects our mission at Storge Foundation – one that is very close to my heart.
